Fabulous. I was here last night, having arrived in Montalcino approx an hour before. I loved it. Felt very welcomed by the staff and the most delicious wine & food

Such a fantastic place. Food was phenomenal and wine selection is superb. But what really makes it a special place is the staff. So welcoming and personable, and just genuinely lovely people. On top of that, incredibly knowledgeable about locals wines and produce. Overall great experience with incredibly talented sommeliers and chef.

Wonderful place! Our lunch was excellent. Service amazing. The manager has incredible knowledge of wines and he gave us some fantastic suggestions. The outdoor patio is lovely. Definitely recommended.

The staff at La Sosta make dining at their enoteca a fabulous experience. They are all excited about wine and food and making sure that you have a great experience. We enjoyed some very good Brunellos from Montalcino as recommended. The food was delicious. My wife had their special fried fish and I tried the pork belly. So delicious. Knowledgeable staff who are excited to share what they have to offer, an innovative chef preparing great food that matches the great wine. They let us sample an up and coming new dessert that will be very popular. A pistachio cream tart with a Brunello reduction accompanied by some slightly sour grapes. So good.

Great dinner experience! I very much appreciated the chef’s sensibility of adding an updated complement to traditional Italian dishes. And though I’m not into presentation, wonderful job doing so.

If your aim is to sample the world famous Brunello di Montalcino presented by excellent, knowledgeable and friendly service in a beautiful surrounding. Look no further than La Sosta Bar. We had our choice of tables on the well shaded terrace. The views were stunning. Our host steered us to the perfect program of tastings. Our food choices satisfied our palettes. The assistant waiter was very attentive anticipating our needs well. The "star" of our visit was sommelier Flavio, a phenom that captivated us with his personality, knowledge and showmanship. We sampled eight wines. Flavio made it an engaging challenge. We left feeling transported. We truly experienced these world class wines. Readers of this review take note. Meeting people like Flavio is why we love traveling. I am certain this city is full of passionate advocates. We are lucky to have met one of them today. I highly recommend a visit to La Sosta Bar.

Excellent after stop for lunch. Staff very friendly and welcoming. No patio today due to rain showers. Lots of wine choices available. Price point worth it. But the lasagna will leave you wanting more. Enjoy a little wine tasting while there. Also enjoyed a glass of Prosecco for starters.
